Golden Gate University offers a variety of events for students who want to learn about going back to school -- including answers to questions regarding curriculum, cost, and convenience. Join any of our sessions at no charge and receive an application fee waiver as our way of saying thanks.

Our webinars are Zoom meetings that are conducted by a Program Director, and include a presentation that covers essential information about the respective program. While in the webinar, participants have the opportunity for Q&A with the Program Director and assisting Enrollment Counselor.

The New Student Information Webinar is recommended for all newly admitted students before beginning a degree program. These webinars are hosted every Monday afternoon from 2:00 – 3:00 PM (PST) while the registration cycle is open.

During the New Student Information webinar, you will learn about:

  • Important dates & deadlines
  • GGU’s trimester system
  • Different course mode offerings
  • How to access the Student Portal and applications
  • How to plan and register for courses
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS - ADMITTED STUDENTS

During the UG New Student Information webinar, you will meet our team of Undergraduate Advisors. You will learn about GGU’s trimester system, instructional modes, and schedule types. We will also conduct a demonstration on how to locate your university email address and student ID, how to view your program requirements, steps on how to register for courses, and how to search for your course materials. At the end of the session, we’ll prompt you to schedule a one-on-one registration appointment with your assigned advisor. Remember that you must attend the webinar session before your registration appointment.

    During the Undergraduate Programs webinar, you'll hear about all GGU's Undergradute programs - BA in Organizational Leadership and Human Skills Development, BS in Data Analytics, BA in Psychology, BS in Accounting, BA in Law, BA in Management and BS in Business. In addition, you'll learn about the many ways you can transfer credit into GGU and earn credit for what you already know including previous learning from other institutions, ACE-recommended training and certifications, CLEP, DSST, AP, Prior Learning Assessment, Study.com and more. Incorporating all of your potential transferable credit enables you to finish your degree faster and lowers your total tuition cost. There will be time for questions following the presentation. **All attendees will receive an application waiver code following the webinar (up to a $65 value).

    ACCOUNTING

    GRADUATE ACCOUNTING PROGRAM

    Golden Gate University's School of Accounting is bridging accounting with data analytics. Learn how the Master of Science in Accounting and Data Analytics will prepare you for the real world where analytics meets accounting. Associate Professor, Farima Fakoor, will guide you through this new degree program and how it will prepare you for an accounting career.     PATH2CPA PROGRAM

    The Path2CPA program makes the journey to an advanced degree quicker and less expensive. Earn a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) in as little as one year after completing GGU's Bachelor of Science in Business with an Accounting Concentration. You can also accumulate enough class time to satisfy the 150-hour education requirement for CPA licensure. No "re-applying" or GRE is required.     BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA / EMBA)

    Whether in-person or online, Golden Gate University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program provides flexible delivery options with a variety of concentrations. The MBA program is for new and established professionals looking to expand their leadership and management skills in today's rapidly-evolving global marketplace.

    The Executive MBA (EMBA) offers a great option for experienced leaders that want to put their leadership skills to the test in an intensive, 16-month accelerated program.

    BUSINESS ANALYTICS

    Topic: Analytics & Big Data -- The New Game Changers

    Since Thomas Davenport published his Harvard Business Review article, Competing on Analytics, in 2006, the business world has been transformed by the emergence of Analytics as a competitive tool, and the availability of Big Data. In this webinar we will explore some of the major ideas that make these two topics so important. Join Dr. Judith Lee, Associate Professor and Chair of Operations and IT Management, as she discusses what Big Data and analytics are and how they have impacted many industries today.

    FINANCIAL PLANNING

    Golden Gate University's Master of Science in Financial Planning was designed for students who aspire to become leading financial planners, investment advisers, or money managers, or who may be interested in one of the many elements of this broad and rapidly-growing field. Completion of this program is possible entirely online or in-person at our downtown San Francisco location. This course of study also satisfies the educational requirements necessary for the premier Certified Financial Planner™ designation.

    Golden Gate University's Master of Science in Advanced Financial Planning is an innovative, research-based degree program designed to equip you with the tools necessary to become an effective change agent in your clients' lives.     HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    Golden Gate University's Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MS HRM) program is fully aligned with the curriculum guidebook of the Society of Human Resource Management® (SHRM®) and is for current and aspiring human resource professional. With a variety of online, in-person and cohort options, the MS HRM program is designed to fit in with busiest of work schedules. This webinar will address the relevant challenges and solutions surrounding the professional development of current and future human resource professionals and the workplaces they support.

    INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

    The Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MS ITM) program was designed by faculty with experience in leading-edge technologies to train business students for a career as a CIO, CTO, or IT Manager.     PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    Learn about GGU's Master of Science in Project Management degree program, taught by faculty with extensive practical experience and who have earned the PMP® designation. You will learn how this program will provide you with the tools and skills to be a project management expert.     PSYCHOLOGY

    Our psychology program was designed to prepare psychology students for a broad range of work settings and career tracks. As the demand for counselors, therapists, mediators, organizational consultants, and a host of other career paths continues to grow, GGU has created a program that is comprised of two Master of Arts degree programs to promote success in all of these areas. Students can choose from a Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

    Psychology Chair and Professor Tom Wooldridge will provide curriculum based information for both programs, so mark your calendars!

    PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

    The Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) program is an accelerated leadership program that helps develop high-performance leadership skills and enhance negotiation and decision-making strategies. This program is for professionals working in the government and nonprofit sectors as current and future leaders. Jay Gonzalez, Executive Master in Public Administration Director and Professor will discuss the EMPA program curriculum, faculty and share highlights from alumni of the program.     Amy McLellan, Dean of the Bruce F.
